ABOUT PHIG

Supporting Public Health Infrastructure Training and TA Needs Across Region 9

The Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) is a groundbreaking Federal investment in the US public health system that will help ensure that every US community has the people, services, and systems needed to promote and protect health. Through three national partners - the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB), and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) – governmental health departments have access to training and technical assistance to address infrastructure needs within their departments. NNPHI supports ten Regional Technical Assistance Innovation Hubs to deliver technical assistance, training, resources, and events to health departments in their region.

PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact is proud to serve as a key partner for HHS Region 9 public health departments across California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and the US Pacific Islands in their efforts to recruit and retain a skilled public health workforce and addressing longstanding public health infrastructure needs.
