What members are saying about their service with the AmeriCorps VISTA Hub
“I was passionate about getting into public health and working in overdose prevention... I just received my bachelor’s degree but had no experience, I was so grateful to get my foot in the door. My VISTA placement
led to a full-time position that I love.”
“My VISTA year encouraged me to think about medicine from a public and community health perspective. That was very valuable and is ultimately why I decided to pursue a dual [medical and] MPH degree.”
“This has been a really positive experience. It helped me gain a lot of confidence professionally. CHLI is a great way to gain exposure to a huge world of public health and service that I didn’t know I could access before.”
