Grief and the Holidays

Over the last few years, public health professionals have experienced overwhelming trauma and loss attributed to COVID-19 and other public health crises. When we have experienced trauma and loss, especially when we are still working in a taxing environment, the holidays or major life events can be a challenge. We have to adjust our expectations, think through how we process our emotions during this time, and even create new patterns of behavior moving forward. This training, presented by Cypress Resilience Project, will think through why the holidays can be difficult for grievers in the public health field and what measures might be taken to help navigate them while experiencing loss.
