Scaling a successful overdose prevention program from county to state
We are trusted partners for grant-making organizations that need expertise to create innovative programs from the ground up.
In 2011, the California Health Care Foundation was working to address overdose in California through a coalition-based program, and after seeing early success, they needed a partner who could help scale their program across the state.
So we launched the California Overdose Prevention Network (COPN)—an evidence-based, multi-sector network for coalitions, organizations, and individuals working at the forefront of the overdose epidemic. Today, COPN coalitions serve 85% of California’s 33 million population.

Developing a national public health training program for mid-sized cities
The Center is a partner of choice for funders and large-scale government entities in need of support for scaling solutions to complex health challenges.
The Reinvestment Fund was running the Invest Health initiative to help mid-sized U.S. cities to develop new strategies to increase and leverage private and public investment.
They needed an experienced partner who could do program and training design at scale. We tapped our design and curriculum expertise to support the launch of a large-scale, multi-sector, team-based initiative.
