Tonya Hammond, MPH
Tonya Hammond is the Senior Operations Manager at PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact. She manages daily operations and long-term planning for the Center’s operations and technology. Hammond is responsible for implementing and maintaining the systems, processes and tools that support staff in the complex work of running the Center’s learning academies and facilitating its overdose prevention networks. She aims to keep staff trainings and tools relevant and ensure her team is comfortable with the technology and able to use it to maximum benefit.
With over 20 years of experience in public health and health equity work, Hammond’s career has spanned the realms of public health, public education, and food access in addition to nearly ten years of health leadership work with the Center. From community liaison to executive assistant to project manager to operations manager, Hammond has dedicated herself to serving the community from a variety of posts. She holds a Master of Public Health from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont McKenna College.
