CHLI continues growth and evolution, names Karya Lustig as Co-Director of Center

Letter from Carmen R. Nevarez, MD, MPH

It is with great pleasure that I am announcing Karya Lustig has been promoted to Co-Director at PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact. Over the past 13 years, Karya has been instrumental to the growth and development of the Center and has become an essential partner in visioning and strategizing the innovative programs that we have grown at the Center. With her strong background in adult education and organizational learning, and with her unwaivering commitment to equity, Karya has been an essential partner in growing the Center’s work to include a large component of VISTA members, and a growing portfolio dedicated to workforce development.

Karya has also been instrumental in creating original curriculum that incorporates a leadership development conceptual framework into work at the community level that combats overdose deaths. Her creativity and flexibility has supported the Center’s tremendous growth in content and complexity.

In recognition of her invaluable leadership and contributions, I am delighted to announce that I will be sharing the co-director role with Karya as we look forward to this next phase of Center growth and evolution.
