Leadership Academy for the Public's Health Masterclass Series: Tapping the Power of the Arts and Culture in Improving Health for All

In June and July, this Masterclass Series will provide a new learning opportunity for individuals throughout the country who are working in their communities to positively affect the conditions that create health. We will use real world case examples and facilitated dialogue to help participants learn effective ways to “collectively assure the conditions in which (all) people can be healthy," stimulate thinking in the field around expansion of partnership, consider how both data and the arts can be tapped into to drive change, and increase awareness of the power and scope that individual and team leadership skills can play.  Attendees will be exposed to some of the best practices in public health leadership used by teams who have been part of the LAPH program over the last 13 years.  Panelists will provide practical examples of how they have applied current leadership skills and concepts not only through their Academy projects, but more broadly in their work across the years, sharing insights gained as well as opportunities, tools, and ideas applicable to all.
