Examining the Legal History of Structural Racism and its Impacts on Public Health

In this interactive Web Forum, presenters from ChangeLab Solutions will examine the legal history of structural racism at a high level and explore its impacts on past, present and future public health practice. Developed with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this session aims to (1) equip participants with a shared, foundational understanding of this legal history and (2) increase the collective capacity of the public health workforce to apply the tools of law and policy in their day-to-day work to center racial justice and advance health equity. The session will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A forum to explore questions, share reflections, and brainstorm action steps.

This Web Forum is sponsored by Workforce Pathways for the Public's Health, a program of PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact and produced by Dialogue4Health.
