Tamnnet Kidanu, MPH

Tamnnet Kidanu is a public health professional with a background in health promotion and student affairs. As the California Academic Health Department (CAHD) Project Manager at PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact (CHLI), she oversees the launch of and the operational activities for the CAHD initiative. The CAHD initiative aims to revitalize California’s public health workforce and advance health equity through building a pathway for diverse public health graduates, students, and faculty into local health departments as well as through strengthening academic-community partnerships. Prior to CHLI, she worked in both higher education and community-based settings, leading health promotion and student engagement initiatives. Tamnnet earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from St. Catherine University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Tennessee.
