Shaena Rouse, MPH

Shaena Rouse, MPH, is a Senior Program Manager at the PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact (CHLI) where she manages CHLI’s leadership portfolio including the Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health (LAPH) program and its alumni network, as well as a portion of our new Workforce Pathways for the Public’s Health (WPPH) portfolio. This portfolio includes the Public Health Training Center (PHTC) and the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) Region 9 Hub.

Shaena’s career has spanned a variety of sectors including clinical, higher education, philanthropy, and non-profit with an intentional focus on health equity and seamless project management. With over a decade of experience in public health and community engagement, she has worked to increase access for communities through policy, systems, and environmental change strategies. Shaena holds a Master of Public Health from University of South Carolina-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University.

Outside of work, Shaena loves to mentor and teach. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and hosting family and friends.
