10:00 - 11:00 am PDT / 1:00 - 2:00 pm EDT

Sponsored by the Systems for Action National Program Office, this event will discuss the 2-1-1 technology used to identify and connect families with very young children to community-based child development services. The collaborative model expands access to early screening and evidence based treatment for developmental and behavioral problems, and coordinates care between medical and community-based providers. A recommended approach to enhance screening for developmental delays in young children will be presented, based on a randomized control trial comparing routine pediatric medical care to a collaboration between a pediatric clinic and an established community-based child development program.
